Open Question: What would I need to know about shetland sheepdogs?
We are thinking of getting a Shetland sheepdog puppy. We are not sure whether we should get male or female? Would you have any tips of caring for them? Is there anything special you need to do? Also how old would the dog have to be to start agility training? Is it true that blue merles have hearing problems? Thanks! x
Open Question: what should I do? am I getting depressed or is just me?
My parents are barely in town, and, having no siblings, i am usually extremely lonely. i top in my class almost every year but last year i didn't because i couldn't concentrate on anything. Its very difficult for me to tell my parents that I feel lonely and I want them home, they usually call me but its not the same and they give me a credit card so I can buy whatever I want. I go to the mall by myself, I study by myself, I eat by myself in a huge house. I have friends and I have an awesome dog but I want my parents. This week I saw my mom on monday and she left and then I won't see my dad for about 2 weeks. They are always traveling. They work for the same company and this company always send them overseas france, england, etc to train employees. I want to tell my dad too but I am afraid that will only worry them because they can not quit. Should I talk to them? and what are they going to do? will they think I am a wimp? will they quit? they have been traveling for about 2 years now. They come home maybe 1 day every two weeks, sometimes 1 day a week. I would greatly appreciate any advice you can offer to put an end to this. Thanks.
Open Question: Why does everyone get scared of my dog, just because she is mixed with pit bull?
Okay so I have a german shepherd mix pit bull, and she is a year and 4months old. She is still like a puppy and people get so scared of her! She can be mean if you mess with her and bug her alot [but that takes a while to get on her nerves]. We love her to death! But why are people so scared of pit bulls? Its not their fault that they sometimes are mean! It's their owner who trains them to be mean :(
