Carly insists that she was right in what she did. She says that Bobbie would throw out what she doesn’t use, just like her. Luke reminds her that Carly has a life because Bobbie DIDN’T throw her out. He tells her about Bobbie’s agony over giving up Carly. Carly says that her life with the Benson’s wasn’t a good one. Luke says that Virginia loved her and provided her with a decent life all including her own room, a backyard and a yearbook Bobbie and Luke could never even dream of a life like that. Luke says, “You owe your life to two women, little girl…my sister because she had the courage to give you up and Virginia Benson because she took you in and loved you.” He brings up Tony. She stops him and claims that he and Bobbie don’t know a damn thing about her great love with Tony. Luke laughs if off. He says that it’s all sex. She threatens to bash his head in with a random object she picked up. Luke says, “See that’s the Spencer blood coming out of you. See if you can break my skull with one whack.” She puts it down and tells him off instead. She doubts his understanding of love [Someone needs some LnL edit tapesJ]. He tells her she is leaving by nightfall. She says she can make it because she learned from being abandoned. He laughs it off saying, “You didn’t have to scramble around, picking up dog food for burgers and you didn’t turn your tricks in no garbage pile…that’s the world Bobbie and I came from. And we crawled out of it…and it was a long, hard crawl, and she has built something for herself, something that you’re not gonna tear down with your vicious, hot little hands![...] It’s over, Caroline. Luke laughs off her trivial problems. He takes out some cash for a ticket out of Port Charles. She says she doesn’t takes orders from him. He says, “Oh, yes you do, my little lost niece…you take orders from me as of NOW.”
